The Founder
TEUM was born from memory, culture and the desire to bring people together.
Welcome. I am Nezanet Goitom, founder of TEUM BUN. Inspired by my Eritrean and Ethiopian roots, I bring our centuries-old, hospitable coffee culture to the Netherlands.
My first name, Nezanet, means freedom. After an intense storm in my life, I found the resilience to begin again and follow my passion.
Growing up with Eritrean and Ethiopian coffee culture, I learned that coffee is never just a drink. It is a ritual, a way of welcoming people, sharing stories and giving each other time.
In Europe, coffee is often fast — something you drink on the way to work, between meetings, or alone.
I wanted to bring back the feeling I grew up with: sitting together, preparing coffee with care, sharing food, talking, laughing and giving each other time.
That is why I created TEUM BUN.
That spirit lives in TEUM BUN — from carefully crafted coffee to the atmosphere of the traditional jebena coffee ceremony.
Discover the power of culture, calm and genuine connection.
TEUM BUN is rooted in Eritrean and Ethiopian coffee traditions, created in Europe for a new generation — not only to taste exceptional coffee, but to experience what coffee can mean: connection, warmth, heritage and togetherness.

The Name
TEUM BUN means “delicious coffee” in Tigrinya.
Before the first sip, during the coffee ritual, the words “Teum Bun” may be said as an expression of appreciation for the coffee that has been prepared and shared.
This small phrase reflects the heart of the brand: taste, hospitality, togetherness and respect for the ritual.
That is why I chose the name TEUM BUN.
