A TEUM BUN Campaign

THE SECRET CUP

This cup is
not for sale.

It's your first TEUM BUN.

In East Africa, coffee is not something you rush.
We sit. We pour. We share.

The Sequence

Coffee → Jebena → Sini → Sharing

  1. I

    Coffee

The bean, ground close to the pot.

  2. II

    Jebena

The clay pot that sets the pace.

  3. III

    Sini

Small cups, poured in one steady line.

  4. IV

The Name

What TEUM BUN means

TEUM BUN means "delicious coffee" in Tigrinya.

Before the first sip, during the coffee ritual, the words "Teum Bun" may be said as an expression of appreciation for the coffee that has been prepared and shared.

This small phrase reflects the heart of the brand: taste, hospitality, togetherness and respect for the ritual.

That is why I chose the name TEUM BUN.

The Ceremony

The Three Rounds

One pot, poured three times. Each round has its own name, its own weight, and its own reason for staying seated.

  1. A small black and ivory TEUM BUN cup with a gold monogram beside a slim black and gold spoon
    I

    The First Round

    Awel Bun

    Gathering

The strongest pour. The room settles, the cups are filled, and the day is set aside for a while.

  2. Two small black TEUM BUN cups poured side by side in warm candlelight
    II

    The Second Round

    Kalieti

    Connection

Softer than the first. Conversation opens, the pot returns, and nobody is in a hurry to leave.

  3. A steaming small TEUM BUN cup beside a gold spoon with candle and incense in the background
    III

    The Third Round

    Bereka

    Blessing

The gentlest cup, and the one that closes the circle — a last word of goodwill before the pot is set down.

The Founder

Why I created
TEUM BUN in Europe

Eritrean & Ethiopian coffee culture, reimagined in Europe.

TEUM BUN was born from memory, culture and the desire to bring people together.

Growing up with Eritrean and Ethiopian coffee culture, I learned that coffee is never just a drink. It is a ritual, a way of welcoming people, sharing stories and giving each other time.

In Europe, coffee is often fast — something you drink on the way to work, between meetings, or alone.

I wanted to bring back the feeling I grew up with: sitting together, preparing coffee with care, sharing food, talking, laughing and giving each other time.

That is why I created TEUM BUN.

TEUM BUN is rooted in Eritrean and Ethiopian coffee traditions, created in Europe for a new generation.

Not only to taste exceptional coffee, but to experience what coffee can mean: connection, warmth, heritage and togetherness.
